Kamihate Uryu lived in an orphanage for a long time until he was taken in by the priest Chidori Amagami. Upon settling into the temple, Uryu discovers that three shrine maiden sisters—the high priest's granddaughters—live there as well.

Eventually, Chidori Amagami reveals that he took Uryu under his wing so that he might marry one of his granddaughters and inherit the temple as his son-in-law. Thus begins this story of love and miracles with the Amagami family.
